Terms and Conditions Summary
By using ModernMail's service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read the full terms for complete details.
1. Service Description
ModernMail is an online service that enables you to upload documents (PDF or Word) and provide recipient details. We print, stamp, and post your letters within the United Kingdom.
2. Delivery & Royal Mail Responsibility
Our role ends when we have printed your document, placed it in an addressed and stamped envelope, and handed it over to Royal Mail. From that point, Royal Mail is solely responsible for carriage and delivery. Any loss, delay, or service failure after hand-over is Royal Mail's responsibility.
3. User Responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe third-party rights, is lawful, and that all recipient details are accurate and complete. ModernMail is not liable for misdirected or undelivered mail due to inaccurate recipient details.
4. Data Storage and Privacy
All user data—including uploaded documents and recipient information—is stored securely and retained for a maximum of 3 months. We do not share, sell, or distribute your data to any third party. Data processing complies with GDPR and UK data legislation. ModernMail is registered with the ICO (registration number: ZB652179).
5. Payments and Refunds
You are charged based on your selected postage options and additional services. Payments must be made in full before the service is rendered. Refunds are provided only under exceptional circumstances at our discretion.
6. Content Ownership
You retain full ownership of any content you upload. ModernMail provides a service to print and post your documents and does not claim any ownership rights.
7. Limitation of Liability
ModernMail is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the service. We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our control, including natural disasters, strikes, or postal service disruptions.
8. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes or concerns should be directed to info@modernmail.co.uk. These Terms are governed by UK law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
