ModernMail exists for the letter you have to send on paper but would rather not queue for. You upload it; we print it, put it in an envelope and hand it to Royal Mail, usually the same working day.

What we do
Some letters still have to go in the post: to HMRC, a landlord, a council, a solicitor, a bank, or someone who simply does not do email. Sending one means a printer that works, an envelope, a stamp of the right value and a walk to the post box or a queue at the Post Office. We do all of that for you, from £1.99 a letter including the postage.
Upload a PDF or Word file, or write the letter in your browser, give us the address and choose the postage. We print it, fold it into a C5 envelope and post it by Royal Mail from Manchester, Monday to Friday. You get a receipt, an email when it is posted and the tracking number where the service has one. There is no account to create unless you want one, and no subscription.
Businesses use the same service for the post they would rather not run themselves: hundreds of letters from one spreadsheet, a shared credit wallet for the team, and letters sent straight from their own software.
How we work
Printed by us, not a bureau
Every letter is printed, checked and enveloped in our own Manchester print room by the people who run ModernMail. If a file will not print properly we stop and ask you rather than post something that looks wrong.
Posted the same working day
Letters go out in batches through the day on a Royal Mail business account. Order before the afternoon cut-off and yours is in the post that day. How it works has the times.
Honest prices
One price per letter that already includes printing, the envelope and the stamp, shown before you pay. No account fees, no minimum order, and discounts that apply by themselves on bigger sends. See the price list.
Your letters stay yours
We print what you send and nothing else. You choose how long we keep your files after posting, and you can have them destroyed at any time. Details are in our privacy notice.
