Send a letter to yourself
Send a letter to yourself online — a self-addressed letter printed and posted to your own address today. Use it for reminders, goals, or a keepsake that arrives in the post. (We don’t yet offer long-term “post this in 5 years” holding; when you send with ModernMail, your letter is printed and posted on the normal schedule.)

Looking for a letter in 5 years?
Some people search for a service that holds a letter and posts it years later. ModernMail doesn’t offer multi-year storage or scheduled future-dated posting yet. Today you can still send a letter to your own address now — and we’re honest about what we deliver.
- Available now
- Print and post a self-addressed letter on the normal Royal Mail timeline.
- Not available yet
- Holding your letter for 1, 5, or 10 years before posting.
Frequently asked questions

Yes. Enter yourself as the recipient, upload or write your letter, and we’ll print and post it to you.
People use self-addressed letters for goals, reminders, gratitude notes, or a physical record of a decision — something that shows up in the post rather than a notes app.
After same-day or next working-day dispatch, delivery follows the postage option you choose (for example 1st or 2nd Class).
We’ll post to the address you enter. Use your own address if you want to receive it; you can also send a copy to another trusted address if you prefer.
